Butcher

Butcher: barcode sales and POS, stock and warehouse, customer accounts and e-Invoice.

Challenges

  • A carcass comes in as one line but sells as dozens of cuts — the yield and waste in between are never measured.
  • The cost of each cut (leg, cubes, mince) cannot be worked out separately.
  • Weight loss during mincing goes unrecorded, so stock does not reconcile at month end.
  • Meat lots and origin are not tracked, so producing documents during an inspection is hard.

Workflows

From carcass to cuts

  1. The carcass purchase enters stock by weight and lot.
  2. A cutting production order is opened and the resulting cuts are defined as co-products.
  3. Cost is allocated to each cut according to its share.
  4. Waste is posted on a separate slip and the yield is reported.

Counter sales

  1. The item is scanned by kilogram via the scale barcode.
  2. Payment is taken and stock is deducted in kilograms.
  3. At day-end the till and the waste record are closed.

FAQ

Can I separate the cost of the cuts obtained from a carcass?

Yes. Cutting is a production order with co-products, and the cost is allocated across the resulting cuts.

Can I measure the yield?

Yes — the input and output quantities on the production order produce the yield report.

Does it track the origin of the meat?

Yes — source information is held on the lot record and tracked through to dispatch.

Can I link minced meat and deli production to a recipe?

Yes, a blend recipe is defined; the meat and spices used are deducted from stock during production.

Can I view cold-storage stock separately?

Yes, each warehouse is a separate stock location; frozen and fresh products are tracked separately.
