Olive & Vegetable Oils

Olive & Vegetable Oils: production orders and BOM, stock and warehouse, quality and reporting.

Challenges

  • Producer purchase receipts are written by hand, so withholding tax and grower balances stay in a separate ledger.
  • How many litres of oil each olive intake yields is not calculated per lot, so the true cost stays unknown.
  • Acidity and lab results are not linked to the lot, so extra virgin–riviera grading is done from memory.
  • Transfers and blends between tanks go unrecorded, so which lot's oil sits in which tank gets confused.

Workflows

From olive intake to pressing

  1. Olives from the grower are weighed on the scale; a producer purchase receipt is issued and withholding is posted to the account.
  2. The intake gets a lot number; variety, harvest year and waiting time are recorded.
  3. A pressing production order is opened; the litres of oil produced are posted to the lot and the yield is calculated.

From tank to bottle

  1. The lab result is entered on a quality control form; the lot is graded by its acidity.
  2. A tank blending record is opened, showing how much moved from which lot into which tank.
  3. A filling production order moves the oil into packaging; the lot code and best-before date are printed on the label.

  • Average acidity per lot
  • Tank fill rate
  • Production cost per litre

Compliance

  • Turkish Food Codex communiqué on olive oil and olive pomace oil
  • Food business registration/approval certificate and HACCP – ISO 22000

Glossary

Producer purchase receipt
Purchase document issued at grower intake that posts withholding to the account
Yield
Input–output ratio of the production order (kg of olives → litres of oil)
Blend
Stock movement for transfer and mixing between tanks
Extra virgin / Riviera
Product grade variant linked to the analysis result

FAQ

Can I issue the producer purchase receipt from the system?

Yes — the weight from the weighbridge ticket carries into the receipt, withholding is calculated and the amount is posted as a payable on the grower's account.

Can I see the yield per lot?

Yes — the pressing production order compares kilos of olives in with litres of oil out, and the yield is calculated automatically.

Can I link the acidity analysis to the lot?

Yes — the result is recorded on the lot through a quality control form, and any grade change is reflected as a product variant in stock.

Can I track transfers between tanks?

Yes — every blending record keeps the source tank, target tank and quantity, so tank stock is visible in real time.

Can I track bottle and tin sizes separately?

Yes — each pack size is its own product variant; the filling order draws down bulk oil stock and increases the packaged item.
