Tires & Rims
Tires & Rims: barcode sales and POS, stock and warehouse, customer accounts and e-Invoice.
Challenges
- With so many size-and-season combinations, the right tyre cannot be found.
- The DOT production date is not tracked and old stock gets sold.
- Tyres left by customers (the tyre hotel) get mixed up.
- Fitting and balancing services are never booked as revenue.
- For fleet customers there is no per-vehicle tyre history, so replacement timing cannot be predicted.
Workflows
Selling by size and season
- The tyre enters stock with its size, season and DOT data.
- Compatible sizes are listed based on the vehicle details.
- On sale the specific size and DOT batch are deducted from stock.
Tyre hotel and fitting
- Tyres taken from the customer are recorded in custody and assigned a shelf location.
- Fitting and balancing are added as service lines.
- At the seasonal changeover the customer is called in and the stored set is returned.
